"Did Jesus Just Happen" The Life of Christ

We are dealing with the erroneous thoughts and beliefs about the Judgment Seat of Christ.

There is a second, and I believe far more prevalent but just as erroneous as the view of the first one. This view says that the Judgment Seat of Christ is a judgment in which God will punish believers for all the sins they committed after they accepted Chris as his personal Savior. It is claimed that when an individual accepts Christ as his personal Savior, the blood of Jesus Christ washed away all sin, that is, all sins from the time of his birth up to the time that he accepts Jesus as Savior. However, the believer is on his own after he accepts Jesus as Savior and will be held responsible for every sin that he commits after he is saved. Therefore at the Judgment Seat, the believer is going to be examined and God is going to mete out a punishment upon him when he stands there in the presence of God.

This is a wrong interpretation of the teaching of the Scripture of the value of the death of Christ. When we relate from Scripture, we see that when God removes sin from the one who accepts Christ, He does it completely. God says, "I have blotted out as a thick cloud thy transgressions" (Isa. 44>22), The brightest light we know, the sun, can be obliterated from the sight by a cloud.. This is a picture God used to show that He will blot out the sins of believers through the Blood of Jesus Christ.; The Psalmist says. "As far as the East is from the West, so far hat He removed out sins from us. (Ps. 103:12) God says again, "Thou wilt cast all their sins into the dept of the sea" (Mic. 7: 10) in the depth of the sea the density is such that no light can penetrate and where no light can penetrate, there can be no sight. God is saying, "I am putting their sins were they can never be discovered again." Go say again, "thou hast cast all our sins behind thy back" (Isa. 38:17). Literally that is, I will put their sins between my shoulder blades. Since no individual has ever been able to turn his head around to see what is between his own shoulder blades, God is saying," I am putting their sins where they can be seen again."

The most glorious worth in all the Bible about our sins is found in both the Old and New Testaments where God says, "Their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. (Jer. 31:34 , Heb. 8: 12).
