"Did Jesus Just Happen" (The Life of Christ)
God is a divine book keeper and has been keeping an unchangeable record down through the annals of time. The Bible says "the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books." Verse 13 of Revelation 20, "they were judged according to their works." We see that a record of the We see that a record of the works of sinful man is being kept and there is an accurate record and detailed account of the life of the unsaved man. A person that is a believer in Christ, that person record was contained there in the books until it was purged by the Blood of Jesus. God in His infinite grace, gave Jesus Christ to be the sin bearer, and when a person accepted accepted Him as personal Savior, the record of that individuals works of iniquity was wiped clean, as clean as the righteousness of the Son of God. When God looks at the believers record now, there is recorded pm;u the fact that all judgement has been paid and that the righteousness of Jesus Christ has been set down to the believers account.
I'm glad that God is a faithful book keeper and would never forget to make an entry. There is not one person who has ever turned to Jesus Christ to accept Him as savior, who will find that God had forgotten to blot out that record and make it clean.; John is not speaking here of those whose records have been cleared for they have already been translated to be with Christ and have not part of this judgment whatsoever. As far as the Scripture records it, they are not even here as observers. They are completely separated from this judgment. John is speaking of the unsaved. The question, what about the book of life? This book is on the throne and it is the register of those who have accepted Jesus Christ as savior. God has recorded every person who has been saved and washed by the blood in the Lamb's book of Life. The Bible says "whose name is not recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. (Rev. 20:15). The persons name is not found in the book of life and the sentence is made. No mistake is made and because the sinner would not avail himself to the provision of the grace of God, he must pay his own sentence and bear his own curse.
